What documents I need to provide to rent a luxury car?

To make a reservation, you need to provide a copy or a photo of your drivers license, passport or your national ID. If you’re renting a vehicle in the United Kingdom or in the United States, you may need to provide a proof of address - utility bill or bank statement.

International Driving Permit is required if your drivers license is printed on non-latin alphabet. For rentals taking place in the United Arab Emirates, International Driving Permit or an official transnational of you drivers license may be required. To collect your vehicle, in addition to the documents specified, you will also need to provide the same credit card you’ve used to complete your reservation. If you want to use a different card for security deposit authorization, please provide it before the rental starts. If you pay or provide security deposit via bank transfer or Bitcoin, card is not required.

Is there a minimum age requirement for sports cars?

Minimum age requirement is different for each vehicle and minimum required age can go from 18 to 28. The age limit requirement will be clearly displayed before you confirm your reservation. If you don’t meet age requirements for a specific vehicle and you’re over 18, contact Lurento and we’ll let you know about your rental options. To rent a sports car, you must have at least 3 years of driving experience. For example, if you wish to rent Lamborghini Aventador Roadster your driving experience will taken into account.

How do I cancel my reservation?

Reservation can be cancelled at any time. To cancel your reservation contact us via email or phone. Cancellation fees may apply.

What happens if Lurento cancels my reservation?

We always try to honor confirmed reservations regardless of circumstances. Sometimes reservation need to be cancelled due to various reasons, e.g force majeure, vehicle breakdown, theft or other issues affecting business operations. In case Lurento needs to cancel your reservation you will be notified as soon as possible.We will provide a suitable alternative or a free upgrade. If you’re not satisfied with the available options, you will receive a full refund.

How can I pay?

We accept American Express, Visa, MasterCard, bank transfers payments and Bitcoin payments. We do not charge credit card processing fees or exchange rate markups. For payments made in Bitcoin, a transaction fee of 2.5% will be applied by the Bitcoin payment processing provider. We do not accept cash payments.

When is my credit card going to be charged?

Prepayment will be charged once your reservation is confirmed. Balance payment and Security deposit authorization dates will be specified in your rental agreement.

How much is the security deposit?

The amount of required security deposit is specified for each vehicle as "Credit card block" amount.

Security deposit for renting luxury or sports car can go from EUR 500.00 for cars like Audi A5 up to EUR 15,000.00 for high end luxury cars and supercars.

Can I give security deposit in cash?

We are not able to track paper money. If for any reason you can't provide a deposit by credit card authorization, bank transfer or in Bitcoin, contact Lurento customer service.

Can I provide deposit via bank transfer or Bitcoin?

Yes, you can provide security deposit via bank transfer or by transferring Bitcoins. If made from an international account the transfer fee of EUR 30.00 will be applied for the refund. If you make a transfer from EU account (SEPA) no fees will be charged by Lurento. If you wish to provide a deposit in BTC, note that amount (specified in EUR, USD or GBP) will be increased by 50-100% to compensate for possible exchange rate changes.

What is the excess amount?

The insurance excess amount is the maximum amount you're liable to, under normal circumstances, if there is damage to the vehicle. Costs that exceeds this amount are covered by the vehicle insurance provider.

What is your mileage/kilometer policy?

Number of included kilometer per day is stated for each vehicle. Before you confirm your booking check the total amount. If you need additional kilometers we recommend to buy it before you complete your reservation. Postpaid price can be significantly higher.

Do you provide Insurance Coverage?

Insurance policy is stated for each vehicle listed on Lurento. Be sure to read it carefully before you confirm your booking.

Who pays for traffic fines?

You are fully responsible for parking fines and any traffic offences while in possession of the vehicle. All fines and unpaid tolls will be documented and charged from the security deposit or payment method you've provided. In some cases you will be directly notified by the local policy to pay your fines and tolls.

What do I do in case of a breakdown or accident?

In the case of any kind of accident you need to contact the emergency phone number provided by Lurento. If for any reason the number provided can’t be reached contact Lurento customer service immediately. In case of accident you also need to notify local police and complete the paperwork. Make sure you get the copies of all documents provided.

What if I am late for pickup or return?

In the case of any delays you must inform us as soon as possible and we'll do our best to accommodate the change. In the absence of any communication a time tolerance of one hour will be applied according to the time confirmed in the reservation. Otherwise the reservation will be considered cancelled. One hour tolerance also allowed when returning the car, after which one extra rental day will be charged. If the pickup is at the airport, make sure to provide your flight number so we can track it.

Can I pick up and return my car at the airport or hotel?

Car can be collected or returned on any location in our service area, including hotels and airports. For some airports additional fees may apply.

Lurento service area includes Italy, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Monaco, Spain, France, United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates, Slovakia, Slovenia, Croatia, Greece, Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg. Some restrictions may apply. If you wish to hire car in other countries fill in our Special Request form and our customer service will contact you with additional information.

Can someone else other than myself drive the vehicle?

Yes, you can add additional driver(s) before confirming your reservation. You will need to provide copies of the documents for additional driver(s). Addition driver(s) insurance and administration cost will be applied.

What if I want to extend the length of my rental?

If you wish to extend your rental, contact Lurento customer service. We will arrange the extension of your rental. Please note that is not always possible to extend the rental. If the vehicle has already been booked for the requested dates we'll provide you with the other options available for the extension.

This is specially important if you are renting a car in top travel destination like Rome , Barcelona, Monaco, Nice. Inform our customer services about any change in reservation and we will do our best to meet your needs.

Do you provide a long term car rental service?

Lurento provides long-term rental of luxury and sports cars. Fill in special request form on our website and one of our customer service representative will contact you for further assistance. The rates and limitations displayed on the website are not applicable to the long term rent. Choose Long Term Rent option in our Special Request form and we will be back with possible offers.

Do you provide a one-way rental service?

We can deliver or collect the car anywhere you want in our service area. Total cost including pickup/return in another city or state will be displayed before you confirm your reservation. You can pickup in Munich and return in Monaco

If you want to collect or return the vehicle in a different country, contact our customer service before you place your reservation. It is possible to rent car in Italy and return it in Switzerland, but we’ll have to confirm it with our local supplier.

Do you provide a chauffeur service?

We provide chauffeured service per request. Contact Lurento customer service or fill in Special Request form and we will get back to you quickly.

Can I rent a car for a couple of hours?

A minimum rental period is 1 day - 24 hours. You can return the vehicle after few hours, however the price will not change.

Do you provide child seats?

Yes of course, we provide baby, child and booster seats. Before you complete your reservation please make sure to select the appropriate child seats(s). You can add two child seats. If required, third child seat is provided free of charge. If you're not sure which one do you need, please contact Lurento customer service and we'll be happy to help. We put a lot of effort to use only premium quality child seats - however brands, models or colors can not be guaranteed.

Is GPS navigation system provided and how much it costs?

Travelling without navigation system is hard to imagine. However not all rental cars come with one. Lurento provides it free of charge for all reservations. Most luxury and sports cars are equipped with built-in navigation system as a part of the infotainment system. GPS navigation is available at all locations in Europe and United Arab Emirates.

Is smoking permitted in the vehicles?

Smoking is not allowed, and that includes cigarettes, cigars, electronic smoking devices, marijuana or anything alike. If you smoke inside the vehicle we'll charge a deep cleaning fee.
