What documents I need to provide to rent a luxury car?

To make a reservation in Europe, you need to provide a copy (photo) of your driver's license and passport.. If your driver’s license is printed in non-Latin alphabet (e.g. Arabic, Chinese, Cyrillic), it must be accompanied by an international driver's license (IDL). To make a reservation in United Kingdom you also need to provide a proof of address - utility bill or bank statement. To make a reservation in United Arab Emirates you may need international driver's license (IDL).

To collect your vehicle, in addition to the documents specified, you will also need to provide the same credit card(s) you’ve used to complete your reservation.

How old do I have to be to rent a car?

You need to be at least 20 years old with 3 years driving experience to rent a vehicle with Lurento. Minimum age requirements is different for each model and will be clearly displayed before you confirm your reservation. For most SUVs, premium cars, luxury sedans and fun cars minimum age is 21-23. For most sports cars and super cars minimum age is 23-25 years. If you would like to rent a car and you don't meet the minimum age requirement specified you can contact Lurento to get available options. Note that young driver fee may be applied in addition to increased insurance excess deductible.

How do I cancel my reservation?

Reservation can be cancelled at any time. To cancel your reservation contact us via email or phone. You may receive a refund or be charged in accordance with General Terms and Conditions. Prepayment is non-refundable.

What happens if Lurento cancels my reservation?

Reservation occasionally needs to be cancelled due to various reasons, e.g force majeure, vehicle breakdown, theft or issues affecting our local partner’s business operations. When your reservation is cancelled, you will be notified as soon as possible and we will find a suitable alternative. If you’re not satisfied with the options, you will receive a full refund.

How can I pay?

We accept Visa, Mastercard, bank transfer including SWIFT, SEPA and ACH payments via Transferwise, and Bitcoin. Contact our customer service if you want to use other payment methods.

When is my credit card going to be charged?

Prepayment will be charged before we confirm your reservation. Balance payment date and security deposit authorization date will be specified in your confirmation.

How much is the security deposit?

The amount of required security deposit is specified for each vehicle. Security deposit is 100% refundable, except in situations specified in Supplier terms and conditions.

Security deposit for renting luxury or sports car can go from 1250€ for cars like Audi A4 up to 15.000€ for renting Ferrari FF or 20.000€ for Lamborghini Aventador

Can I give security deposit in cash?

No. You have to provide a valid credit card for security deposit authorization.

What is the excess fee?

This is the amount up to which the supplier will charge, if there is damage to their vehicle. Costs that exceeds this amount are covered by supplier and their insurance.

What is your mileage/kilometer policy?

Number of included kilometer per day is stated for each vehicle. Before you confirm your booking check the total amount. If you need additional kilometers we recommend to buy it before you complete your reservation. Postpaid price can be significantly higher.

Do you provide Insurance Coverage?

Insurance policy is stated for each vehicle listed on Lurento. Be sure to read it carefully before you confirm your booking.

Who pays for traffic fines?

You are fully responsible for parking fines and any traffic offences made during your rental period.

What do I do in case of a breakdown or accident?

In the case of any kind of accident you need to contact the emergency phone number provided during car collection. If the number can’t be reached contact our customer support for additional assistance.

What if I am late for collection or return?

In the case of any delays you must inform us as soon as possible. We will attempt to adjust the delivery/collection time. In the absence of any communication a time tolerance of one hour will be applied according to the time confirmed in the reservation. Otherwise the reservation will be considered cancelled. One hour tolerance is allowed when returning the car, after which one extra rental day will be charged.

Can I pick up and return my car at the airport or hotel?

Car can be collected or returned on any location covered by Lurento services, including hotels and airports. For some airports additional fees may apply.

Lurento currently rents luxury vehicles in Italy, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Monaco, Spain, France, UK and Dubai. If you wish to hire car in other countries fill in our Special Request form and our customer service will contact you with additional information.

Can someone else other than myself drive the vehicle?

Additional drivers are allowed but you will have to provide all the required documents. Charges may apply. Inform your dedicated Account Manager about it before you complete a reservation.

What if I want to extend the length of my rental?

Notify our customer service and we will arrange the extension of your rental period. Due to the high demand in some seasons, it’s not always possible to extend rental period.

This is specially important if you are renting a car in top travel destination like Rome , Barcelona, Monaco, Nice. Inform our customer services about any change in reservation and we will do our best to meet your needs.

Do you provide a long term car rental service?

Lurento provides long-term rental of luxury and sports cars. Fill in special request form on our website and one of our customer service representative will contact you for further assistance. The rates and limitations displayed on the website are not applicable to the long term rent. Choose Long Term Rent option in our Special Request form and we will be back with possible offers.

Do you provide a one-way rental service?

We can deliver or collect the car anywhere you want. Delivery and collection charges may apply. Charges will be displayed before you confirm your reservation. You can rent car in Munich and return it in Frankfurt, but it may affect total cost of your rental.

If you want to collect or return the vehicle in a different country, contact our customer service before you place your reservation. It is possible to rent car in Italy and return it in Switzerland, but we’ll have to confirm it with our local supplier.

Do you provide a chauffeur service?

We offer Chauffeured services on all of our locations. Contact our customer service or fill in Special Request form and we will send you more details.

Can I rent a car for only a few hours?

The minimum rental period is 1 day (24 hours). You can return the vehicle earlier (pickup in the morning and return in the evening) however the price will remain the same as for 1-day rent.

Do you provide baby, child and booster seats?

Child seats are available in most vehicles, with the exception on specific sports cars, super-cars and other 2-seater cars. However, we can not guarantee the availability unless it’s confirmed. Before you confirm your reservation you can add a child, booster or toddler seat. If you've forgot to add it in before confirming, let us know as soon as possible. Note that all vehicles are delivered to you so if you fail to request a child seat it might no be possible to provide it on pickup.

Do you have GPS/Navigation System?

GPS and navigation is available in all vehicles at no charge.

Is smoking permitted in the vehicles?

Smoking is not allowed, and that includes cigarettes, cigars, electronic smoking devices, vaporizers, marijuana or anything else that produces smoke or vapor. If you smoke in the vehicle you will be charged EUR 150.00-300.00 deep cleaning fee.
